Small Family Garden

Dulwich London

Our clients were building a small extension to their Victorian family home and asked us to help connect the new building with the garden. The new structure had large glass doors that folded away creating a generous inside-outside space. To connect the spaces even more, the same paving was to run seamlessly through out. As the extension was nearly all glass the views across the garden throughout the year were also extremely important.

We selected a concrete look porcelain paver that was suitable for interior and exterior use. A panel and trim of natural stone setts was included to add a textural contrast and to neatly frame the lawn.

Cedar battens attached to the wall increase the sense of privacy and will soon be clad with scented climbers. We suggested colourful and relatively transparent Acapulco chairs for the terrace. We love the way they enhance the view and lend a holiday feel to the garden.
