We loved the sunny and secluded aspect of this section of much longer garden. Our aim was to create a surprise and contrast to the more formal main garden. We sought to design a space in which the whole family
could socialise and relax in.
The social hub of the garden is a bespoke curved bench made from oak and steel wrapping around a large fire bowl. A hammock swings attached to old timbers and a couple of lounge chairs are tucked in amongst the planting.
The planting style is soft and informal with ornamental grasses catching the breeze and intermingling with scented flowering perennials. Plants grow through a
mulch of gravel lending a holiday and costal feel to the space.
